The 31st Annual George Furtney Memorial Forest Dedication Service on Sunday, September 24, 2023. The sun was shining and the birds were flying above - it was a beautiful fall afternoon at the Fanshawe Conservation Area.

Our thanks to the 250 family embers who attended to honour their loved ones.  The program included readings, a musical selection and wonderful words of dedication from Rev. Keith McKee. This dedication service was personal for Rev. McKee as his mother passed away this past year -  a tree is growing in her memory - and we were grateful for the his heartfelt contribution to our service.

Thank you, also, to the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority for their cooperation with this tree planting initiative over the past 31 years.

We are proud of this program and very grateful to all of those who have participated over the years helping to make it the meaningful memorial that it is for us and hundreds of families.
